Mary offers impressionistically rendered paintings in addition to traditional portraiture. Although these Figurative Impressions do not show the same amount of detail as her traditional portraiture, she nevertheless captures the essence of the subject being painted, transcending the ordinary.

Figurative Impressions are a favorite with many customers and work particularly well with young children as the subject. Most often the paintings are created using candid photos from the family photo album.Using the photo is used as a "spring board" for the painting, Mary interprets the photo, altering color and composition as needed to create a painting as artistically pleasing as possible. In addition to children, paintings of other subjects can also be rendered impressionistically.

Prices for impressionistically rendered paintings are quoted on an individual basis. Typically, the paintings start at $450 for an 8 by 10 image.
